An inspiring, true story of surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury

Adam Reborn: A Family Guide to Surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury

11:00 at night. The phone rings.

A voice screams out that your son has just fallen 40 feet to the concrete below. As you stand in shock, the world as you’ve known it is about to change forever.

For you. For family and friends.

But most of all – for your son.

An inspiring, true story of surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury.

The book is written in an easy to read style and not filled with overly scientific jargon.

At age twenty one, Adam Stelmach’s life changed forever when he fell four stories, forty feet off the roof of a local mall parking lot and was diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury. However, Adam did not choose to give up on life. Being a TBI survivor, Adam embraced all therapies from the many hospitals (Henry Mayo, Northridge Medical and Providence Holy Cross) that he was sent to and where his TBI recovery process took place. Adam’s desire to embrace his second chance at life and to find his “new normal” resulted in the inspiring book of hope and recovery entitled, “Adam Reborn: A Family Guide to Surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury.” Adam’s continuing TBI recovery process can be found at adamtbirecovery.com where his aim is to help others in society and inform members of the community, through articles and appearances in the SCV Signal and Mount St. Mary’s College of TBI recovery. TBI can be life altering. Adam Stelmach has chosen for it not to be life ending.
